What is the Lift Project?
A lifestyle based program that uniquely brings together science-based strategies from research in the fields of neuroscience, lifestyle medicine and positive psychology.

Lesson 1
"Your Limbo is Listening”, introduces the emotional brain and the impact of language on wellbeing.
Lesson 2
“Motion Creates Emotion”, shows why movement (not necessarily “exercise”) influences how we feel.
Lesson 3
“Blue and Green Should Often Be Seen” and shows the evidence why natural environments influences mental wellbeing.
Lesson 4
“Together Feels Better” and focuses on strategies for strengthening relationships.
Lesson 5
“Feelings Follow Your Focus” and explores the neuroscience behind why what we focus on affects how we feel.
Lesson 6
“Food Feeds Your Mood” and explores the gut-brain connection and what you can eat to feel better.
Lesson 7
“Rest To Feel Your Best” and looks at sleep stealing culprits and their cures.
Lesson 8
“Stress Less” and examines stress relieving strategies.
Lesson 9
“Giving Is Living” and explores why the best thing we can do for our wellbeing is make a contribution.
Lesson 10
“What Does It Take To Flourish” and presents the five ingredients of a flourishing life.

It was founded by Professor Darren Morton, an internationally recognized wellbeing expert who is currently the director of the Lifestyle Medicine and Health Institute at Avondale University.
He is the author of 4 books that have collectively sold over 100,000 copies
